Scart Split

Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone can help.
I am using an A/V sender to transmit my TV signal upstairs (frustratingly the IR sender doesn't work so I cant change channels grr!). This means the scart out from my Tiscali STB plugs into the sender and this then has an output that goes to my TV.

This is annoying as I have to turn the sender on to watch TV downstairs and the TV can't automatically switch to the correct scart imput.
I'm wondered if there's another way around this I've not thought of.... I've seen scart splitters but they seem to be for plugging multiple items into a TV rather than having multiple outputs.
Thanks for your thoughts

I had a problem with splitting scarts and found a phone call to Maplins Tech Support was superb and I bought a piece of kit that resolved my problem. I had asked on another AV forum answers were wrong!!!A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build.
