It must be a conspiracy.
You're absolutly right, and the s59 l think is a good idea, it has calmed him down and taught him a lesson, that l guess is the idea of it but what is wrong is they had no proof it was him the 2nd time just hearsay, l think that law just needs 'tweeking' a bit!0 -

It might well be a joke but we haven’t yet got to the stage where people can be arbitrarily fined by the authorities with no right of appeal or review. (although I do believe it is planned for the next few years)
If the OP’s son is innocent then he should appeal/seek review, if on the other hand he’s guilty but telling his mum he’s not then he should keep his head down0 -

Yes it's my son!! Believe me lm not one of those parents who says "it was'nt my son" when he first got the s59 l was the first to say serves you right, but this time l do believe him and we're going to see if we can appeal but we had to retrieve the car as it was £150 then £20 per day you leave it in the compound, how do these kids prove that their driving sensibly when there has to be no witnesses to the misdemeaner just hearsay. Apparently a blue car was seen driving irresponsably all eve but when my son was stopped he'd just finished work but the policeman didnt want to listen, he had a blue car and that was enough.0 -

S59 - no right of appeal.
S59 - no need for evidence.
S59 = police state.

HTH.
I stand corrected, the new labour project is ahead of schedule on this one.
The temptation to quote Martin Niemoller’s poem is almost irresistible0
