i would ring and ask them what to do, if you have a visa debit card on your basic account which they do issue you could use that.

There are none in either Eire or Northern Ireland. There is a bank called Permanent TSB but it is not related. You can get a Visa cash advance inside a bank with the card (you will need your passport with youi) but you will be charged for using it, and there will be a conversion charge from Euro to Sterling also. It might let you have a cash advance at any Visa ATM too, in fact I am pretty sure it will. Call them up and ask.
  • a lot of banks are putting blocks on foreign withdrawls these days - always best to ring them a day or two before you go and tell them.

You should be able to use it at any ATM - have you tried other banks' ATMs in the UK, do they work?

    See http://www.lloydstsb.com/debit_cards/your_debit_card_abroad.asp
If you need more cash while you’re abroad, you can use your debit card to withdraw money at a cashpoint or over the counter at any bank displaying the Visa symbol.
