my internet is running slowly,i checked my network connections and it says theres a cable unplugged,can i fix it or is it in the hands of my provider (aol)

Are you wired or wireless? If you are wireless then its probably your Ethernet port reporting the problem, in which case go into network connections and disable it.
What makes you think your internet is running slow, is it one site or all sites?
Try running a speed test, and checking the synchronization speed of you router.
Your ISP has no control over your PC, your internal telephone wiring etc therefore its up to you to sort it out, with a little help from this site of course.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
reboot your modem (power off and on) it's unlikely a cable has disconnected.0

It can be done by yourself also there is no need of Isp providers to do it .. you can fix it by your own make sure the connection are made properly and after that just reset your router to take affects.0
