Dough - DO you know what really irritates me? "Assumers". Don't assume anything and check your facts before you make comments.

I have no doubt that as reported, this event was probably a scam. However, just because you put 10,000 in the "Number of Tickets" box on their website DOES NOT MEAN, BY ANY MEANS, THAT THEY were going to sell you 10k tickets.

There website has not been built with the complexity to check 'LIVE' to see how many tickets are available, this isn't Chessington World of Adventurs, Alton Towers, or Thorpe Park, this is a low-cost budget theme park. Their website is designed to sell tickets in single numbers, not thousands. In fact, I reckon PayPal would have stopped a £250k transaction before the money was taken from your account.

Never assume anything unless you have ACTUAL FACTS. FACT IS, you didn't try and do that transaction...so you don't know if they would have taken £250k from you...do you?

OOH guess what, you joined today and have made just this one post... so good of you to spend time out of your Saturday to come and preach to us all about FACTS :rotfl:
In the probably unlikely event that I actually post something of use to someone, an ickle vote of thanks would be much appreciated, in fact I might frame it and put it up on the wall next to my cycling proficiency certificate :D

Fear not Santa fans, I plan to open Lapland Dunstable in the pub car park down the road, it'll be great.

Sadly no huskies, but the neighbours lent me his Staff/Rottie cross, which looks like a huskie from a distance.

Only £30 a ticket (under 16s £50 a ticket but free pound shop gift from whatever drunk I can get to dress up as santa).

Payment direct to Lapland Dunstable (Lagos Ltd) Caymen Islands.

Fantastic, I'll rush you all my money instantly... I hope you take cash? :rotfl:

I do have one concern though I have to say... traditionally "laplands" seem to take place in muddy fields, and you are doing yours in a nice tarmac carpark? I hope you are not a scammer!!! My kids will be expecting a sea of mud, I don't want them to be disappointed

We plan to ship in 50 tons of genuine Lapland mud to make it authentic.

I would not want anyone to leave disapointed.

Cash only, all profits are going to charity (give me a day or two to make up a suitable one).

The website was basic, why would someone not stating this this irritate you? Surely you could find something more irritating to get irritated about ?

I'm planning a 1:1 scale replica of Lapland, so were going to demolish all of Dunstable and Luton, not that anyone will care or notice I suspect.

We'll paint the rubble white to look like snow.

  • Have you got your dodgy home-made website up yet, with some nice reindeer and santa pictures ripped from disney or someone?

Also I'm desperate to send my pre-payment for the tickets in used £20 notes to a P.O. box somewhere in Bedfordshire

    :D

Oh, and I can't wait for all the one-post-wonders to log on and tell us what a wonderful day out they had at "Lapland-Dunstable-Carpark", just to prove how genuine you are :rotfl:
