Print to Edge? Printer recommends Please?

I use my PC to make birthday cards etc and want to print designs right up to the edge of the card. I have never managed this yet! & kept the design in the right place on the card. Not sure if this is the Hallmark card making software or my printer.
Can anyone please recommend a good reliable colour printer that easily copes with edge to edge printing on A5 card?
Or any other solution?
