you lost so shut up. Im worse off than you.
As a saver i benefit not at all from these bailouts... but have to foot the bill in increased taxes in years to come.0 -
Who knows, over the 10 years your rate could still be a cheaper option as who knows where rates will end up.
People who've picked a fixed rate aren't necessarily more responsible than those who haven't.
In the next couple of years we'll all have more to worry about that losing out on some interest rate cuts!0 -
sounds like the majority of replies are more upset than me .
maybe you should have chosen a fixed rate .0 -
lets hope so......................December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22
Weight loss: 1.5lbs0 -
Jesus, the rates are at 2% base yet the best offer open to me, a first time buyer is 2% more than your fixed so I fail to see what you are moaning about!0

As a prudent saver... no credit or debt i get S hit on all the time by this government.
I don't overborrow, I don't waste money, I work and pay taxes.
While during the rampant HPI stage... I was forced to either pay 2x the amount for a house than people 5 years older than me.... Where was the government then.. nowhere.. they pushed more inflation.
Now during the House Price Crash (which will benefit me eventually). We have the government bailing out banks, people who borrowed too much, deferring peoples mortgages for 2 years, reducing interest rates to lowest points ever.
As an individual i'd say i got shafted the most :P. My savings earn less, My taxes will increase soon, and I have no house yet... And i have no flash cars or wealth that others who got stinkly in debt have to show for it.
If i lost my job, my rent wouldn't be payed for me or 'delayed 2 years' if i owned a house. My rent hasn't dropped down 150 quid a month everytime we get IR cuts... so yea im angry too lol.0
