Hi, I have 12 Audio books on itunes. I am going to buy a Creative MP3 player and wonder if I can download my books from Itunes to my new MP3? Or is Itunes only for Ipods?
Please forgive if this seems a 'silly' question

Sorry, Itunes will only 'sync' iPods
Creative players come with their own software0 -
As above, iTunes only works with iPods. That doesn't stop you from simply copying files and folders of music from inside the iTunes Library onto an MP3 player using Explorer. If you're not sure where a file is, right click it in the Library and click 'show in explorer' (or something similar). I haven't used Podcasts, but as far as I know they're just big long MP3 (or similar) files. See if you can show one of them in Explorer (or just hunt inside My Music for them) and you should be able to copy over. Let us know how it goes!

Thank you both for the reply. I feared that was the case. When I download the books from Audible, they go into my Itunes but for some reason they also go into My Documents. Can I download (drag and drop) my books to my new Creative from there?
I have the Creative on order from Littlewoods but it is not due for delivery until 11/12/2008. I wonder if I should cancel and get a Nano instead?
Many thanks for the help, as you can see I'm useless at this!0 -

I did as you suggested and it comes up with all my books in a folder called Downloads! Sorry but how do I copy them from there? Do I send them to My Desktop and import them to my Creative from there?
Thanks.0 -
The Creative Software will do it for you. It shows an icon 'IMPORT TACKS' which you use like Explorer. Dead simpleIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0

ringo, can you explain? All my books are in itunes and in a folder called Downloads. Does that help?0 -
As far as I'm aware, Audible downloads from the iTunes Store are in protected AAC format, so you'll need a player that can play protected AAC files (i.e an iPod).
And as an aside, you can drag and drop directly from iTunes.0 -

Marty J, thanks for that. I went to the www.audible.co.uk site and checked that the Creative MP3 player was suitable for downloading books from the site.
Re the point on drag and drop, do you mean that I will be able to d & d from itunes to Creative?0
