why doesn't "email this article" work?

Hi, I have clicked on "email this article" to send an interesting item to a friend, but each time either it doesn't send, or friends tell me they have not been able to open it. Anyone know why? This has mainly happened from news items from Telegraph web site.

perhaps the cooding is wonky -email the webmaster, and send your pals the UR of the page that you saw..
this may also avoid the site harversting/ selling on both your details, AND your mate's, if a form is needed to be filled in, rather than creating an eail with xyz.. in the subject.
it may look something like this-
[EMAIL="someone@somewhere.com?subject=something"]mailto:someone@somewhere.com?subject=something[/EMAIL]...
