I was going to write the bulk of this message tomorrow, being the end of the week, but I'm prompted to write it today instead.

Some days ago, I posted that people blow hot and cold about PB. For some reason, the site really whips people into groups of pros and antis!

We have seen some evidence of this during the current week, when we have seen a good number of click-throughs (10-pointers) and a goodly number of people receiving their rewards promptly. Happy members have been blowing kisses to Darragh! ;) At the same time, lots of people (it seems) are still having problems in getting points they legitimately feel they are owed, and the usual stories of PB failing to reply to emails. Unhappy members are throwing brickbats at Darragh!

What I was actually going to say tomorrow was what a good fortnight it's been with Pigsback! People here were very down about the site during and after the festive period, but since then we have had a lot of activity. Not only have we had opportunities to earn lots of points, but the site has looked fun and professional, with the extra element of Valentine's Day pages adding to the enjoyment.

So my message to PB right now is a big "Well done!", with the usual caveat that customer service issues (including apparent system errors for missing points) still need further work.

PB should be making a 100% effort to fulfill their promises (as quoted by me many posts back in this thread) and respond to member emails within one working day. That said, I emailed them this week, and I did get a response (and a satisfactory one, too) within that timeframe.

The site is looking good; the marketing team have brought in numerous new retail brands; rewards have been added; rewards are being sent out with acceptable delays; customer service emails seem to be coming through more reliably.

I look forward to further development.

LOL! You credit me with more ability than I have!

    Well, OK. Post 1000:

Here's a quotation from a review from the Ciao! website. It was written about the original Irish Pigsback, way back in 2001!!

They are really responsive as regards getting your rewards out to you and I've had a few customer service queries which they dealt with really quickly which impressed me.

Let's hope we can write that in 2006!

That was pathetic, I know, but I shot my bolt in post #1014!

I have to agree with Droopsnout on this one. During the festive period, PB was a little less than efficient, and hopefully they've learnt their lessons from this. Over the last couple of weeks they have proved themselves, at least to myself, to be trustworthy and reliant, and i give them great credit for this. I am extemely pleased with them as a whole. I do recognise that there are still a few minor flaws that they are supposidely ironing out, which I look forward to!

My PB experience is on the up!
  • Droopsnout - congratulations on your first millennium. Also, I've been impressed with your range of avatars recently, do you have a variety to cover all your emotional stages?

I must admit I was feeling a bit fed up with Pigsback post Christmas. I usually logon to Pigsback a few times during the day to see what's going on, but after Christmas I was at the one logon a day stage. Now it seems a more positive experience going on Pigsback and I'm a lot happier with it. It was definitely a good idea to have clickthroughs spread more over the week and more of them as well. Just hoping that the improvements continue.
