Hi, Ive just bought a notebook with LINUX as the operating system. I've plugged my O2 Pay as you go dongle into it to get onto the internet and it opens the window and I cansee all the files. Problem is when I double cliclick on the setup.exe file, nothing happens. I have had a look on the Linux website and cant find anything. I did phone O2 and they said they are not allowed to tell me where the software is to install on LINUX. !!!!!! eh. Grateful if anyone could help. CHeers Lenny

.exe files are Windows files, so they won't run on Linux. I would suggest typing the model number of your dongle plus "linux" into Google.0

Your linux laptop should work with most 3g USB dongles "Out of the Box"
If its a DELL MINI 9
plug your USB dongle into the laptop and then right click onto the "Network" icon usually next to the time.
Select "About"
If it's called "NetworkManager Applet 0.7.0" then follow the steps below..
Right click then.
Select "Edit Connections"
One of the tabs should say "Mobile Broadband" That's your 3G settings.
Click on "add" then run through the wizard..
If not then let us know the make of the laptop and the name of the Linux version. We'll be able to help you out
