Amazon delivery problem???

Wondered if anyone here had had a similar experience and might be able to help....

On 29th I ordered a bunch of items. They were sent out in 3 lots for some reason.

The first lot (some DVDs) arrived on Wednesday, The second parcel came today, then this evening I got an email from amazon:

Return Confirmation: Your Amazon.co.uk Order

Greetings from Amazon.co.uk

We wanted to let you know that we received your return from the above referenced order.

The following is the breakdown of your expected refund:....

Reason: Unwanted item

Now I never requested a refund nor returned the order - it never came at all (have been in all week as OH is off work ill)!

Checking my amazon account the other 2 were sent by RM but this 3rd parcel was sent by HDNL and in my amazon it's still showing up as in transit.

Should I contact amazon or wait a couple more days?

I'm thinking the courier just couldn't be bothered to deliver it! We definitely didn't miss a delivery.

Bit peed off about the situation, but just want to sort this out and get my goods asap (BTW all items were from amazon not any third party).

Thanks

OK looking into this further, the refund has been applied onto my account.

    Also getting annoyed now.

one item was Microsoft Sidewinder Mouse [Electronics]
Sold by: Amazon EU S.a.r.L. £28.95

All of a sudden if I follow the links on my amazon order history it takes me to the product which now says Microsoft Sidewinder Mouse [Electronics] £32.50 + £3.85 shipping
In stock. Dispatched from and sold by PCArena(second item that was in the parcel and not delivered is still in stock with amazon)

    v. peed off now

  • I've had a lot of problems with amazon to! I ordered something, they cancelled it, changed it to something different, then told me it was out of stock! But then it was in stock and now they can't send anything to me!!!??

The customer service hasn't been brilliant either, just to let you know your not alone!!!
  • Had probs with Amazon and payment. Put in an order for about 7 items, for easons of their own they split into 4 parcels and then within seconds started asking for funds for 4 separate amounts on same card. Needless to say card Co saw fraud and stopped card. Phone calls later making certain I used a non 0870 number and got it sorted but not good for a day or two

Think I shall be on the phone to them for a while tomorrow!

Thanks for your replies, it's good (well bad but you know what I mean) to know I'm not alone.

I think these kind of antics go on with Amazon MarketPlace sells, they advertise items on multiple website at various prices and take the order at the highest price and send notices to others that they are out of stock or item returned.

I've had this happen alot on Abebooks.co.uk, very furstrating - my advise is to not use the marketplace part of amazon

This isn't really the fault of Amazon, it's a problem with Marketplace sellers. I tend to avoid them unless I know that I can trust them

I ordered 2 amazon vouchers on 28 November which have only arrived today - the post mark was yesterday on the envelope. That's very slow by Amazon's usual standards - in fact, had I ordered them any later I'd have missed the birthday of the person they are intended for.

Sorry but I did point out none of my order was from market place sellers (so can't blame it on them this time round)!

I just spoke to a really helpful guy in customer services. He said the problem was that the order was damaged in transit (but instead of tell me that and resend the order the shipper had put it through as a return/refund).

Anyway I pointed out the problem with the price increase on the product (that I still wanted) and he has issued a refund to cover the difference.

It should take a day or 2 to show on my account.

So as long as the refund does go through (fingers crossed) I shall be re-ordering the item and be happy to use amazon again (not the second item which was glass - probably explains the damaged in transit issue).
