The Pier - shops still open?

I've just read that The Pier has gone into administration - does anyone know if the shops are open and still trading while they look for a buyer? I nearly ordered goods online last week as they had 50% off some things but didn't get round to it. Lucky escape I think however if they are still trading would pay a visit to the Glasgow Fort store.

It looks like it. They're still taking orders on the website anyway. Up to 50% off!
  • I think I'll stick to the shop rather than the website. At least I'll leave with what I paid for.

I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

I always like to look around this store but have to agree is was always too expensive for me even at sale time.
  • Is it a good idea to buy stuff online from someone that has gone bust? Someone said that woolies have asked the couriers to deliver goods back to them that people had bought online...
Thanks to all who post constructively.

This sale has been ordered by the firm brought in to run the business while the admins seek a buyer. That firm is Hilco the same lot brought in to run woolies after they went bust.

I doubt they will be asking for stuff back just make sure you buy with a credit card just in case should anything go wrong.

i have always liked the look of the furniture in the pier, but unfortunately have neither the budget or the space to justify buying....

  • That 50% off was there from before. If you move your mouse over it says until the 2nd December. There's also a note on the home page from the administrators.
I won't be ordering anything. I ordered a DVD from a well known in trouble company and my order's been cancelled- can't say I'm surprised. I had thought it would be so I popped into store to get it instead.
