I thought if you subscribe to sky talk free time and have your line with bt, you can still use 18185. I read this from digital spy. Is this correct?
Yes, you need to have Sky Talk Freetime (£0 per month), not line rental, to get your broadband at the same price.
No, you can't access 18185, just because you have a BT line(as has been said by the above 2 posters), ALL calls will be routed through sky.
The only way around it is to fine one that you have to dial 0800 first (i know there is one people use on VM, so the same should be the same for this).
I am confused, which information is right? Thanks

But you won't be able to use the 1280 prefix to make any calls via BT.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Thanks, Heinz. Why is that person from digital spy saying you cannot with sky talk? He or she must be wrong and I meant to reply but want to be sure I have got it right. How can sky block 18185 if your phone line is not with them? I think that person is giving wrong information on the forum, just want to make sure before I do the change. I do understand not being able to use 1280.0
