Question about Ryanair check in

Apologies if this has been asked a million times before and i am sure it has but i have a question about check in.
I have opted for online check in and hand luggage only to avoid charges.
What i wanted to know is that if i change my mind whilst i am away and decide that i would like to check a bag into the hold (ie i have brought too much stuff) would i be able to do that even if i have checked in for my return flight online before i left home?
Thanks
