Sky grrrr

Ok I know Imight get shot down in flames but here we go :rolleyes: !!4 phonecalls today}

I tried the 'cancellation' route with sky in order to get the sky+ box. the first person {nice scottish man] said they can do the sky+ box but as the prices were going up from today to £199 the best they could offer me was £79 + £60 inst. He was trying to get me to maybe have other stuff so I said I'f phone back etc.

About 2 hours later I ring and speak to a nice girl who asks why I want to cancel etc and then she said the only way I can have the £49 for inst, was to have a premier pack, and downgrade my packs from 4 to 2 and downgrade my broadband to the £5 package. As I didn't have a card to hand [my partners and he was out] I siad I would ring back.
I rang back then and spoke to a margaret who said yes everything noted on account except any mention of a sky+ box. and they couldn't do the same deal but they could do it for £30 inst instead. I declined and she wittered on saying that each customer is different because it all depends on how long they are a customer, so someone who was with sky say 15 years will get a better deal than me who was with them just over 2!. anyway my {house}phone cut off as the battery went so I rang back and again another person said the same as margaret that I couldn;t get it done for free inst but £30.
Feeling a bit knarked then as I was givent he choice of taking the free install for upgradign to the movies pack I asked them to cancel my subscription. They agreed.

In the meantime the channel we were watching {movies-the 1 other pack we were paying] switched off. On checking the other 'paid' packs we were willing to downgrade from has been taken off and the movies has been add.

Now bearing in mind the whole reason for having the movies was to have the free inst with £49 sky+. rings them back again :mad: only for them to say well you agreed to have it..yes but only on the agreement of having the sky+ so after another lengthy wait they agree to put it back after tellign them after 30 days I will not pay the 'extra' as I didn't agree unless I had the offer.

So now I have a cancellation in waiting on 3rd Jan :eek:
Oh well....Should I be right in feeling a bit knarked at being told 1 thing and then not given the option the 2nd time event hough they said it wasn't on file. {I did say to the person who said I couldn't have it free that if they checked their recordings which they say they do, they will find that the person did say I could have it.
