Term one over...

Hi,
Just thought that I would tell the world how its all going lol!

I have just finished term one doing social work and its ok. I am not at the loving it stage but its ok. I am finding all the reading quite isolating tho ho hum. 6 projects this term and so far only one make back so I have no idea how I am doing.

I have just been diagnosed as dyslexic so am coming to terms with that too. In short glad term one is over and I will be back in Jan for term 2.
Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!

You've finished this week!? Lucky! I've got another week yet. But thats my first semester over. Exams first week January though.

I am going to fail one module I reckon (as is everyone in that module - not a clue) but all others are good. But as the same as you I haven't had any work back.

Well I have an exam on monday which I'm currently preparing for, one more lecture on Tuesday, following week I have the exam for that module on Tuesday and that is that, done for the semester. But currently got back my article review, 2:1, football essay and presentation both at 2:1. Happy with my results so far as I've only been one and two percent of firsts. So I've got time to put that right :D

One more week and an essay and a report to hand in - then done until the 5th Jan when there is a report and a portfolio due in - then off until the 23rd!

Yeh the first one is always pretty standard, will get much more interesting as you progress!

Are you recieving all the dyslexia support? You might qualify for over 3k worth of computer equipment...

  • Hey Mummy to Four,

I've not really been on here, too busy!!.

I've just finished term 1 of social work, and what a whirlwind it's been. I finished on Wed last week, I've found my first term very hard, not in work terms, but the constant timetable changes we had an extra module that we were due to start after xmas squeezed into the last 4 weeks, which meant extra time in uni, extra reading an extra presentation and essay. Also missed the last 4 weeks of lectures/seminars for one module due to staff illness so we had to do it all independantly.. dreading the feedback on that one lol.

I'm really tired, got a deadline of the 5th!! but I do love uni and am enjoying my course, did a placement day in Mental Health, this is def the job for me.

    Glad you're still enjoying it
