Can the chap who posted scans of the original 2001 letters containing promises about the rates cut, please put the links back up? Thanks in advance.

In future???? if there is a thread that is as useful, interesting and dynamic as the one that has just gone AWOL - I shall copy and paste on a daily basis into a word document - !People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

I reckon if we get the "under review" response for more than a week it will probably suggest another increase to the margin. I think I am correct in saying that the current rate is now pretty much the same as RBS SVR. If it was their intention to get us to this point, then maybe the full 1% is possible.
What we do know is that when they delay an announcement, it can only suggest bad news. If they intend to pass on todays 1% in full, they may well annouce this quickly and then defer it until January. Whatever happens, we must keep pressure on them to reduce the 1% increase to the margin of this mortgage applied over this year.
Just to remind everyone:
0.25% cut not passed on in April.
0.25% increase, out of the blue in July.
0.5% not passed on after the BofE Nov 1.5% cut.

Can the original publisher of the letter ( ie the owner - whose name is in the blanked out section ) make themselves known - perhaps with a new login id if they wish to remain anon.
It is the holder of the original letter that will be required to move this forward.
I have all the old comms, so will look back through my paperwork.
Others should too. The more copies of it that are unearthed the better.0 -
The letter is posted earlier in this thread, but just reposting to keep it visible.

I have read there is speculation that lawyers from 'you know who' put pressure on this site to remove the previous version of this thread which had approx 50000 viewings.
Juno,
where did you read this?0
