Wireless TV Sender BIG PROBLEM - Please help!

Options
:confused::confused:

Hi I recently got a Wireless TV sender from the Aldi @ £19.99 but I can not figure this out.

I have got the wires/leads in the following places

TX

The Red, White & Yellow Wires from the sender go into the RWY female leads on the double scart adaptor. The scart from my Sky box is also plugged into the double scart adaptor and then into my TV.

RX

The RWY wires go straight into the RX Scart and then into my TV.
I have not connected the aerial to the Sender.

I have a portable aerial and a Video as well.

The leads normally go from the portable aerial to the video ad then from the video to the TV.

Please help me out on this one as I can not get it to show sky upstairs in the bedroom.

Hopefully I have made a simple mistake.

Thanks In advanced

Only simple mistake I can think of (apart from not switching everything on..) is that you have the phono (RWY) to scart adapters the wrong way round - input and output are wired differently.

ps - sounds like you're not using an adapter at the 'send' end - are the connecters on the scart doubler definitely outputs?
  • No this does not seen to make any difference.

Has anyone else got any ideas????????????????Please

I thought much the same as manathome, are the scart adaptor connectors you have plugged cables into definitely output signals? I would have thought they are for attaching a new piece of equipment to the TV rather than passing the signal out, i.e. input connectors

was there no scart style connector with the transmission unit (TX)?

hate to say it but a couple of friends also bought this and between us all we just couldnt get it to work - in the end they took it back to Aldi for a refund and it was like "Not another one" when it was returned so could be a common problem or faulty unit

How do you connect the video to the TV upstairs? Is it by scart or coax plug? Have you selected the AV input on the upstairs set?

The Video is wired up to the TV by the portable aerial into the video, then an aerial/wire/lead out of the video into the tv (Where the aerial should go)

    Is this right?

Best bet -take it back for a refund- the one I had never worked when they had them on sale last year-no-one at Aldi was surprised when it went back

Sorry, been away for a few days - Have you selected the AV input on your video or TV upstairs? Although your connections are fine for viewing the video output and the signal received from the aerial it will not show what is coming in on the scart socket. You need to select the AV input on the video or TV (whichever your receiver's scart is plugged into). I can't say which is the exact button to press as they differ from model to model, it is different from the normal 1,2,3, channel selectors though. If you still have them check your user manuals to see how to select your scart (AV) inputs.
