Hi
I have just installed Xp on my second HD, I now run Win 2K and XP each on it's own drive I need to transfer files and data from 2K to XP. Windows file transfer wizard does not allow HD to HD transfer, is there other methods and software I can use to do this.
regards

You can just copy files directly between the two drives, (the drives will appear in the My Computer window) you shouldn't need the file transfer wizard unless you want to copy a lot of complex settings and preferences.

You need to assign the drive a label so the operating system can manage it.
Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management and then right click the drive and select 'Assign Drive Letter'0
