Drainage Plumbing Insurance?

Hi..... is there any where to shop around for 'Drainage & Plumbing Insurance?' or has Homeserve got the monopoly on this?
Its an insurance I feel one needs............ I usually pay annually & as usually with insurances it doesn't pay to be a loyal customer! & simply increase the cost each year but for new customers its a quarter of the price.
My wife had a letter for such a cheaper price so I've cancelled the one in my name & now my wife has applied in hers.

Just wondering if any where else we could shift to ?

Appreciate any help

Thx

    I came on here looking for the same thing. Direct Line also do this insurance, don't know if it is cheaper than what you have.

    Homeserve becomes a bit of a pain, in the end I didnt know what I was insuring, all the time they ring up offering more and more different policies - Ive let my drainage and plumbing lapse this year with them as I couldnt work out just what was actually covered. I know we had a water pipe leak outside in the drive and rang the water company and they came out and fixed it for nothing. They said one call out is free for each property or something.

    Another thing Homeserve tried to push on me was kitchen appliance cover. I was quite interested in that as Id just had a quote of £260 for repairs to a dishwasher just a week out of guarantee :( In the end I scrapped the dishwasher and bought a new one. BUT it did make me look around for appliance cover and I found Domgen was a better buy than Homeserve, not only pricewise but for the cover you got. I believe they also do plumbing:

    PlumbingCare protects you against repair bills for your vital household system of plumbing and drains and cover will start 14 days after the acceptance date.
    PlumbingCare will cost you:
    • £65.00 a year when you pay by credit / debit card;
    • ten monthly instalments of £5.50 if you pay by Direct Debit - a £10 discount on the annual fee

    Hi & Thx

    'My wife had a letter for such a cheaper price so I've cancelled the one in my name & now my wife has applied in hers.' saving over £60 for the same policy.
    & yes they are a pain ringing constantly, what a sad job! you'd think they would get the msg that someone is on holiday or away. We recently came back to over 60 left msgs.
