Sygma: The Real Story

I just looked it up. It says that Category 4 means the applicant has given false information on the application form and their application has been declined. According to the FSA, having a CIFAS category 4 marker is even worse than being an undischarged bankrupt when it comes to getting accepted for further credit products!0

How many do you have now is it just 1 or have A&L put one on there as well?It was me who had the cat 4 as well... I have had credit since then as well. I read it was supposed to wreck anyone at that address' chance of getting credit but my OH got a new bank a/c and credit card no problem after it was placed.
Are they just placing these at random then???0 -
Ha ha!
No, FOS forced them to apologise and remove the false and inaccurate information they placed on my credit file. I did get compo but I wasnt bothered - I've managed to source a VERY old Abbey account that can be used again so I can get rid of A&L soon once and for all!
Re CIFAS -
I did request a notice of correction re the fraud to be placed on my credit file with a note of the dates, crime ref no etc but for some reason Equifax dragged their feet and didnt want to! I have actually had further credit since then, I've drafted a letter to Sygma but my printer is broke - grrr!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
