How Can I Make a Curved Bath Panel

JSP

I’ve got one of those Shower Baths where it’s curved the tap end and the rest of it’s straight (Kind of a P shape).
I’ve been trying to find a bath panel to fit it for over a year now, but since I don’t know what the make of the bath is I’ve had no luck.
The panel we’ve got on there at the moment is a piece of curved MDF which is then tiled over using 1 inch tiles (it looks horrible as it hasn’t been done very well).
Has anyone got any ideas on what I can do?
I’ve had a look through some web sites but no where seems to tell you how to make a curved bath panel.

you are into the realm of profiled sheet plastic. Did a bit of this at school yonks ago and it's specialist stuff.
could try re-doing the curved mdf? just paint it instead of tilingI am a building surveyor and will provide advice based upon what you tell me. It is just that, advice and not instructions. Based on the fact you're getting it for free expect it to be vague!0 -
Is there a label with the name/model number, on the bottom of the bath?
If there is, you could Google those details & see if it identifies itself & maker.

JSP. The simplest option I can think of is to use flexable ply. I had to make an oval ring recently and used flexable marine ply. I got it from a lambeg drum maker. If the marine ply is applied right with precut guides the shape of the curve, there's numerous finishes you could layer on top. You could tile it again or put pvc panels over the ply. The pvc edgings would hide the edge where the curve of the shower meets the bath. You could even stick vinyl on it.0

3mm is flexible while retaining some stuffness. 2mm would be too thin.
not sure how much they're going to charge for a one off but you could buy a standard size sheet and cut it down yourself with a dremmel."Gold is the money of kings; silver is the money of gentlemen; barter is the money of peasants; but debt is the money of slaves." - Norm Franz0
