hI there
After a bit of a push in the right direction...
Our fixed rate deal is coming to an end at the end of this month with halifax, I have had a look on their website and they are offering a 2 year fixed 3.99 (£3999 fixing fee)   robbing toe rags!!!!!!!!!1
Do you think we are best to just go onto the SVR (which will happen automatically if we do nothing)
Thanks

Their loyalty rates compare favourably with other lenders remtg products
Not all lenders off alternatives to expiring fixes
They have rates with fees as low as £499
Or you could have a SVR at no fee - whilst not the lowest SVR - its one of the more competitive SVRs
Remember banks are paying as high at 12% to UK govt for cash injection ( via pref shares).Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

With the current rate cut, I guess the SVR might be better than any of the available fixed rate now. And I suppose if you go on to SVR, there is no binding, and you can switch to any fix or tracker rate whenever a competitive one appear in the near future.
Just my personal opinion, I might be wrong. I have been thinking about this as well since my Halifax fixed rate is coming to an end in February.
