just a quick note to let every1 know that if u call scottish powers sales line on 0800 400 200 to switch they will do a postcode search and depending on the result of this determines the payment method they can sign up for example if your postcode is eh11 2pa and it tells them dd or prepay only and u are an rcq customer they will have to send u an application pack and even though the agents process these to be sent they rarely are as they do not want your custom i work for them and find this very unfair not only for customers but staff too nobody knows about this and im sure if ofgem were to find out there would be serious repercussions which is quite right they are basically wanting to cherry pick there customers, just an insight that if we then call someone in the same postcode as prev mentioned when they are leaving us we are free to sell them rcq or anything without any questions also a word of warning they are wanting every1s dd to be about £70 for duel fuel and we are suppossed to tell custs this is due to it being the winter months what a joke!!!! well thanks for listening signing off now as the insider haha

You work for a co that is protecting itself from bad debt, shocker! £70 per month for duel fuel that is low when you consider what the avrage is.
This sort of post could have been posted by any sales employee for any power co it was the same when I worked in the BG (not directly selling admin) sales center.LBM:j -16/06/04
Debt at highest=£15,526:mad:
Now=£1500:T :T :T0 -
I'm sure there are many people on here who pay monthly by DD who would be more than happy to only have to pay £70 per month!.
Of course, SP also allow payment on receipt of bill (either in cash/cheque etc or by setting up a DD to collect the amount billed)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
they are not protecting against bad debt and we will no longer accept rcq customers who want to switch to us the only rcq customers they want are the ones they have and hopefully get them to switch to dd!!! plus starting now we are no longer signing up prepayment customers outside of the scottish power/manweb areas ie central scotland and liverpool
ps about the dd of £70 this is also the case if u are way in credit paying less we will still need to set your dd at least £70:eek:0
