Register it at the place where all your main correspondence (bank statements etc etc.) goes to?[fonefather] - If you would like free independent advice about phones feel free to message me. :j0

get two quotes, find which is cheapest, go with that one
:D
You can have a correspondance address and a different address where the car is kept overnight.
When I lived in Scotland, my correspondance address was in Yorkshire, and the postcode of where i kept it overnight was in scotland. That worked out well for me, because where I was working at the time was a small island village where there was no crime, so my insurance was dirt cheap.....0 -
before i had a permanebt place of my own, i got all my imporabt papers sent to my parents address not my student house, as its much safer when youre away etc. (your parents wont open you post will they?!) and also you wont forget to change it when you move into aniother house or graduate.:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0

I was at uni at Birmingham, home in West Sussex. Guess which one I chose!0

Sometimes it is useful for one to have an address where one does not actually reside - especially if you intend to ring up a lot of debt!Small change can often be found under seat cushions.

Probably best to put your home address, since that's less likely to change (unless your parents are planning on moving). Your parents can always forward mail to your uni mailbox if needs be.0

Does your insurance become invalid though if you are keeping your car at a different address? I wasn't sure about this, when I was at uni I used that address - plus it was the cheaper out of the two!0

you could argue it either way....
You permanently reside in one place, or, like the OP, you could do 50/500 -
Whichever is cheaper
Mine is registered to my Dad's address, he lives in a nice area and has a driveway, here it would have to be "on the street" and therefore push the premium up a bit.0 -
My car is registered to my parents address but my insurance is to my uni address as it is cheaper due to the postcode lottery. Find out which one is cheaper and work with that one, just make sure that you do keep your car at wherever you say for the insurance for the majority of time otherwise it can become invalid and you cant claim if something goes wrong.0
