Bunch of muppets. They spend money on kit to do this which far exceeds the money they'd have saved.
Also it's the USA and they'd get the same MPG just by changing to diesel and driving normally. Diesel cars are pretty much non-existent though because like the rest of the US automotive industry, it's 2 decades behind ours so the US view of diesels is that they're like the old clackers we used to have in the 1980's - noisy and gutless.0 -
Not all Americans are ignorant to Diesels, the Jetta just won a Go-Green prize in LA for it's economy etc...
The Volkswagen Jetta TDI Clean Diesel has been given the title ‘2009 Green Car of the Year’ at the LA Auto Show.
The Jetta is the first diesel car to receive the award, given by the Green Car Journal. A jury of nine environmental and automotive experts from North America commended the Jetta TDI for its strong performance, fuel economy and low emissions.
Ron Cogan, editor of the Green Car Journal said: "Hybrids have dominated the discussion of environmentally positive vehicles in recent years. The highly fuel efficient, 50-state emissions-certified Jetta TDI shows that advanced clean diesel has arrived and is poised to change this. With its affordable price, refined ride and handling, and high fuel economy, the Jetta TDI shows that hybrids now have a strong competitor in the marketplace."

That is rich after reading your posts on the Which Mattress? thread here.
You appear to know about as much about mattresses as you do about cars!
