Well ive just taken out marks and spencers pet insurance after reading on this board somewhere about how good they are and that there is also no excess to pay. They also insure for up to £7000. Im still waiting for the policy in the post so i cant tell you that much. My almost 3yr old spaniel cross is £8.60 per month. Ive always considered getting pet insurance but the excess of about £50 you normally pay has put me off, as how i see it usual little things would be less than this anyway. So after getting this Marks and Spencers policy with no excess at all i though it was very good. I even emailed to confirm about the excess which they confirmed. You have the option of having an excess so you get a cheaper quote if you want but i found if i chose to have a £20 excess it only reduced my yearly figure by about £9 so i opted for no excess.

    That sounds quite good.
I think ill have a look into M&S.
No excess is quite appealing, as you say, most little things would probably cost less than £50.
    Thanks for the advice

I recently changed from Tesco (7.99) to Halifax (5.00) for my dog - 1 year old female. I couldn't find any difference in the policies and I checked them on one of the insurance sites that Martin recommends.
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

You can search for the cheapest policy. Just read the conditions to make sure it covers whole of life for any illness. Dog insurance from £6.50 per month.
