Bought WII from amazon on sunday night checked today and it said city link tried to deliver today at 1.00 what a load of utter tosh....i was in all day checked citylink site (belfast) it says card was put thourgh door rarrrrrrrr theres no card in my door ..i am fuming!!! :mad: has anyone else had any bother from them?

The same has happened to me today. An Amazon item again and tracking says that I've been carded. I've been in all morning and there is no card. City Link are hopeless.

Mavis did you complain because i have ..i got parcel today but why did they lie ?

Three times they failed to collect an item from my work and I ended up having to deliver it myself to their depot adjacent to Belfast International Airport after excuse after excuse. !!!!!!link, I dubbed them!

Generally they are a pain in the **** - and they normally have a £15 surcharge to deliver from England to NI

The one in gateshead is rubbish as well
Card left nothing ticked on it so rang them chose the pick up option Fiance drives to their depot which is quite a few miles away to be told they havent sorted out yesterdays parcels yet and cant look for it as there are too many to look through so we are having to wait in tommorow for it to be delivered:mad:

It was a WII i bought for my son for christmas it had free postage ..you can understand my panic i just thought why are they saying they were here when they werent .

I had an item sent by Citylink recently and it never arrived. checked the tracking number and it shows as being signed for by someone with a name which is not mine, nor any of my neighbors. Looking at the time of the supposed signature, I would have been in at that time so probably kept back by the driver.
The problem I often have with deliveries is that the backs of our houses face the road. Anyone wishing to get to our front door has to walk about 100yds from the end of row parking spaces or about 200 yds from the back gate.
It seems all too often, this is too much bother for their poor tired legs and they just jump back in the van and take off. I don't even get a card.
I know when they do this cos if anyone disturbs or parks at my back gate, I have 3 dogs which let me know someone is there. I then stand and watch, If I manange to make eye contact with them, I gesture to them to come to the front but usually they just drive off. Citylink/Countrywide Frieght seem to be the worst culprits for this.

I'm waiting on three packages from Amazon too, bp, but I thought they used Royal Mail / Parcel Force. Oh great! Not that flippin' shower of incompetent barstewards again.

Btw - I had to brake suddenly to avoid one of their vans which shot out in front of me on a roundabout this morning. Well, at least it means they are out delivering!
