    I wouldn't be entirely comfortable recommending a £7.99 PSU, even for older or lower spec PCs. You may have to pay around £25-30 for a solid, reliable PSU. You can use a 24pin PSU on a 20pin motherboard with no issues, although there isn't really any reason to buy a 24pin PSU unless you intend using it in a future custom built PC. Connecting it, you'll need to leave 4 pins spare at the side, but the connector should only fit in the correct way, so hopefully no worries about wrong connections and half your hardware getting fried.
