I am taking part in the Amalfi Trek Challenge next May, it is in support of the Openwork Foundation and I would like to ask for your support.
Charity Registration No 266983
The Openwork Foundation is a charity run by the company I work for and is linked to the Zurich Community Trust. Their funds go to charities that support vulnerable children to enable them to enjoy a more independent lifestyle
Please support this wonderful cause by clicking on my JustGiving page below
If you do choose to donate, thank you. Lots of children will benefit from your generosity

The Openwork Foundation is NOT a registered charity - I did not say that Zurich Community Trust was not one.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

We are part of the same company, do you have nothing better to do!!!!:rotfl:0

I am in agreement with Fengirl. The law is clear on this. You have to have a charity number to be registered so. A lot of charities own other things which are not charities and are part of things which are not charities. She was only trying to be helpful.0

Ok, I do not want to start an argument here, we have a foundation that is linked to Zurich and helps vulnerable and needy children. I was very clear in the message in my original post that it is linked to Zurich (Zurich Cares) and this has a registration number.
If you would like to sponsor me to do this challenge please do, otherwise no problem if you do not.
Many thanks0 -
If someone sponsors you and are tax payers, will your charity be able to claim back the tax ?
Too lazy to look at your link but I've looked now and just spotted the answer to my question....0 -

I tend not to check on the exact status of an organisation if there's a JustGiving page because I believe they only accept registered charities. Someone please tell me if I'm wrong ...
However, longforgotten, please accept that we do make a distinction here between registered charities and other forms of 'good work', so if fengirl knows something about an organisation it's not unreasonable of her to post it.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I spend my days sorting out problems which organisations get themselves in by not complying with Charity Law!£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
