Ill keep it simple
i bought an XBOX 360 Elite from my local blockbuster 6 weeks ago
now its playing up and freezes litterally every 10-15 mins and needs turning off
so i rang them and the woman said they only accept returns upto 14 days and after that i have to send it back to microsoft
i said no for the first 12 months the warranty is with the shop and that she should just swap it for a new one
she refuses
where do i stand
i cant find the reciept but the day i bought the concole i traded in the game that came with it and had to give all my details to get a trade in card thing so that was registerd on the same day
im annoyed about the reciept as ive got my reciepts for stuff going back years but cant find it

Its you who are right... go back in and tell her to do one! or go in at a different time when she is not there...
Microsoft "prefer" you to go back to them but cannot force you.. you could also try a different branch lol
are you after a refund or exchange?
If exchange then they dont even need to do anything and if a refund, be careful if you paid with your trade in credit s you get enhanced price for your stock.
If you bought it on your account, you dont need your receipt.

i intend to email blockbuster and was hoping there was a legal term or link to a set of rules they ahve to obide by
there are i think only 2 women that work there every day
i did actually ask before buying it what happens if it goes wrong and was told for the first 12 months its a case of simply returning it to the shop

thats the way i see it and thats what i did when my console got RROD in its first 12 months0 -
i got one 20 days ago from game station and mine does the same. its the red light problem does 3 red lights flash. im taking mine back tomorror. you can send it back to microsoft but it takes a while for them to mend. if you cant get your money back there are some guides on fixing your own , but only do this as your last resort.0

taek it back after 6pm when there is another manager on duty.. it contravenes the sale of goods act and the guarntee lies with the store.. dont take and crap of them lol0
