Best chance is a DVI to HDMI if your laptop has a DVI out and the TV has HDMI in.

I don't agree with the above reply as it is not a common conection for a laptop.

Most laptops (even new, high spec ones) have a standard D-sub analogue monitor output and, if you are lucky, S-video.

It is likely therefore that you will be able to display your laptop screen image on your TV using a D-sub cable IF your tv has a D-sub connector, or S-video via S-video cable, or component or Scart with a suitable S-vide to component (or Scart)adapter cable.

What is the make and model of your laptop and also your telly, if you want the best answer?

Yup.. what kind of TV? An lcd one? Ideally, you want to have a VGA input on the back like this.

Then you just have to get a VGA cable between laptop and TV.

A quick Google suggests that your laptop has S-video output:

Your Panasonic will have Scart and component input and probably not S-video, so I reckon you will need a S-video to Component adapter cable for the best picture. S-Video to Scart will also work, but picture quality will not be as good.

    Component connector looks like:

Don't expect the tv image to look as good as the laptop - it won't!!

Do you have a yellow RCA connector on your laptop (they look like this and are the same size as the coloured ones at the back of the TV)

Also do you have a yellow RCA point on the back of the TV?
