Options
I am having a problem with Internet Explorer on my laptop, it's not reponding.
I can receive mail in my inbox but that's it. Any Ideas? Is it possible to uninstall Internet Explorer and then reinstall it?

If anyone has any ideas please can you keep it simple, just like me.

    Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x Repair for Windows XP

    * From the Start menu, select Run.
    * In the Open field, type sfc /scannow (Note: There is a space between sfc and /scannow)
    * Select the OK button.
    * Follow the prompts throughout the System File Checker process.
    * Reboot the computer when System File Checker completes.

    If you do this, you need your Windows XP CD handy.

    If it is Outlook Express. My above post will also check/repair this as well, so it's worth giving it a shot.

    You can't exactly "uninstall" it, as the option in Windows Add/Remove Components simply removes the shortcuts on the desktop and start menu. :rolleyes: It doesn't remove the program itself.

    However, you may be able to do a install over the top by downloading Internet Explorer from the Microsoft site then installing it. http://www.microsoft.com/ie/
