OK, I have just started living on my own for the first time ever (living in Stoke)

I am currently with NPower for both Gas and Electric who would be the best supplier to swtich to? and what is the cheapest way to pay.

At the moemnt I am paying for my Gas quarterly and electric is on card, would be so much simpler if it was by direct debit

The advice I am asking for is shoud I switch, who to if I did? and taking into account that I only signed upto NPower for myself in december will A: I be allowed to switch? and B: will there be a charge if i did?

TIA
Lucy

    A: Yes you can switch.
B: There will not be a charge.

Direct debit is normally the cheapest payment method as you amass varios discounts (I think it's £60 for dual fuel direct debit with Npower for example).

See if you can get your card meter changed as it is more expensive due to standing charges etc, although there may be a charge to do this.
