im wanting to save £300 a month for a deposit on a house and will be saving for around 12-18 months
not sure if an isa or a savings account would be best?
any ideas?

1st £3K per tax year in an ISA - rest in highest paying account you can find.0

.....and the current highest payer is ICICI Bank. Here's a link:

For first 12 months I'd suggest another way:
1. £250 p.m. into A&L 10% (8% net) Premier Regular Saver . It is available only if you don't have any accounts with them. If you are 21+ y.o. apply and get extra £50+: Alliance & Leicester Current Account .
2. £50-£250 into 7% (5.6% net) Halifax Regular Saver.
Net rates above are for 20% tax.0 -
cheers for the help people!0
