Hi folks,
My wife bought me an iRiver H10 5Gb for my xmas from Argos but unfortunately it was goosed and we had to return it, they had no other ones in stock so she got her money refunded.
Due to this i am now in the market for an Mp3 player, the one that has caught my eye is the 1Gb Creative Zen Nano. What i want to know is, is there any current users out there who could advise me if it's any good or whether i should steer clear?
I've searched for reviews on Google and they've come back pretty mixed.
Or is there any better alternatives out there that i've missed, basically i am looking for at least 1Gb with FM radio and around the £100-150 mark.
All info gratefully received.
Cheers,
HB

I have one - absolutely love the little thing! The only down point for me is that the earphones wont stay in my ears (funny ears ??) I have bought a cheap over the ear pair. Apart from that ...LOVE IT!I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0

I have the slightly bigger Muvo player, but I can't fault it for what it does.
Easy to use, easy to transfer files and the radio is a nice little addition.
I changed my headphones too, but that was because one of the earbuds was starting to crackle and they didn't stay in during exercise at the gym.
Edit - Just to add that if you're willing to spend £150, you might want to have a look at the Zen Micro. You should be able to get a 6Gb one for around £150 delivered.Dave. :wave:0 -

I have the creative Zen micro and love it. Its so versitile, fm radio, recorder, contacts, storage, organizer, removable rechargable battery,5gigs and plays both MP3's and WMA's which means you are not restricted to Itunes to download0

Hi
Iriver for me, H140, plays every type of audio file, no software needed just drag and drop individual files or folders from pc, in fact you don't even need a pc just plug in another device, i.e. tape,cd player and convert to mp3, recorder, radio, I also use it as an extra hard drive, loads of extra features and an excellent remote control that you can do everything from. And of course the sound is absolutely brilliant, on all settings.
And as you can see I love it. :j0 -

I have a Zen Micro it's great. Its really to use with MediaPlayer and it synchronises with Outlook so you can download your calender, tasks and contacts. It also has a voice recorder function so that you can use it like a dictaphone. There are a good range of accessories available from the Creative Website and which are reasonably priced and far better than those in the shops. It comes with a USB lead to charge off your PC however you can pick up a mains adapter for around £5 on e-bay.
A small thing but one which I love is the 'pulse' effect where it glows blue all over on and off when it charges.0 -
Thanks everyone for your thoughts.
A couple of things : I'm now thinking of buying a Zen Micro, do/can you transfer using WMP10 or do you have to use the software which comes with it?
And as i'm not too techie minded, i noticed on the system requirements you need to have "Intel® Pentium® II 350MHz or AMD K6® 450MHz (Pentium III 450MHz or higher recommended for MP3 encoding)" I have AMD Athlon XP 2600+ is this ok?
Sorry if these are daft questions but would rather be safe than sorry. ;-)
Cheers

Yes you can use WMP10, I generally use this over the software that comes with it. To synch the Calender, Address book and Task List you have to use the software that comes with it.0
