    thats a shame, i ordered two sets of tickets on sun night and they arrived on tues morning in the regular free post so guess you were just unlucky:confused:
    i dont think xmas helps to be honest, i used to find on ebaby if i posted 2nd class then it arrived quicker than 1st for the customers so think its the postal workers who are to blame half the time as they dont prioritise:confused:

    I placed an order for a return ticket using the First Great Western website on Tuesday morning - £50 tickets - fine. I received confirmation and a message confirming that my tickets would be delivered by 3pm Tuesday. The delivery fee for a couple of tickets was a massive £6.

    I do apologise, yes I have found a missed mail delivery at home under my letters. Have no idea how I missed the booking options as I would always want to pick up from the station?!?! I lost a family member this week which may have something to do with it.

    Even still, the missed delivery was for 2:30pm and the site specifically says the tickets would arrive by 1pm so in fact I am correct in the fact that I paid £6 for tickets to arrive before 1pm the next day and they didn't.

    :confused::confused::confused:

    first it was 3pm tuesday, and then 1pm??

    Where in the UK do Royal Mail deliver

    Royal Mail deliver most items the next working day by 1pm on Mondays to Fridays (except public and bank holidays). They sometimes deliver on Saturdays if the item arrives at our local delivery office that day, but we can't guarantee delivery.

    We deliver by 5.30pm the next working day in the following postcode areas:

    from trainline

    The OP states that he ordered Tuesday to be delivered Tuesday. Highly likely to be a courier and not SD as SD is a next day delivery.

    i was gonna say see it but cat get away with that :o

    looks like a site or user error as sameday is more than £6 and only in limited areas
    We now offer same day delivery to customers in the London area for £10 or £15 depending on your postcode. Tickets are delivered within 2 to 4 hours of purchase confirmation.

    Within an hour of booking we will publish your Special Delivery tracking number which can be found by logging into My Account then click on Check your order status.

    You can use this reference with Track & Trace, the Royal Mail service that lets you check the status of a trackable item that you sent through the post. To use this service please visit https://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/track

    For business addresses, there should be someone available on site to accept and sign delivery up until 6pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). As we require a signature on delivery, we cannot deliver to Post Office Boxes.
