AEG Dishwasher - anti-flood system -What is this???

Help please! My AEG dishwasher has stopped working. There is an error code, which according to the handbook means 'The anti-flood system has been triggered' Their advice is to call out a service engineer. I suspect this will be very expensive and may just involve them resetting something simple that we could do ourselves. Do any plumbers out there have any advice, please?!

Not familiar with that machine, but would suggest that it has detected water in the casing and as safety feature has stopped to prevent the contents of the drum being pumped over your floor!0

I found this for you - I don't know if it will work cause it's not the dishwasher that I have so I can't verify: http://www.fixya.com/support/t363608-drain_pump.0

This sounds possible - it was a bit damp around the switches.
