In such cases such solicitors are easily dealt with, as they should be in in every instance of a qualified legal professional playing a part in this atrocious practice.0

PLEASE HELP! I have just received two parking tickets from METparking services for parking over an hour at McDs on two occasions. i was at a business meeting with colleagues, eating and drinking at McD's and using their internet (which they are currently promoting) and I did go over the time (by an hour on one occasion and two on the 2nd occasion). I spoke to McDs customer services who said I would have to talk to MET! The letter has been sent to our company as it's a company van, it was on CCTV, but I imagine they would not be able to see who was driving. Don't want hassles for our company and I know you all say to ignore it - is this still the same as I know there has been a lot of press coverage on parking fines lately. Also, as ther's two tickets a week apart, will they be more persistent?0

The same advice as per all the others on this thread, ignore. Also make sure your company know its a scam and make sure they do not pay and to pass all the loo paper to you without any action.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Heya,
I recently got a UKPC parking ticket outside my flat in Manchester. Their are no signs at ALL and I had no idea it was a restricted parking area.
Should I:
1. Draft a full letter with pictures outlining the lack of signs.
2. Ignore it completely
I'm not to worried about the series of threatening letters I'm likely to get by taking option 2 but part of me prefers proving my case and avoiding all the future hassle by taking (and 'winning') option 1.
What would you do?0 -

"Dear Mr pkLeo,
Your appeal has been rejected. Now pay us lots of money that we're not entitled to. Yours sincerely UKPC"
Option 2 looks a better bet.

Bailiffs are officers of the court but the only time they would come to your house is in the very unlikely event the case goes to the civil court, you lose and you refuse to pay any money awarded against you.
So just ignore. It will never go to court.0 -

Myself and a friend were driving hire vans which were too long for the regular parking bays at South Mimms Service Area so I parked in the extended bay of 'Caravans only' and told my friend to join me there as his parking with cars had taken up too much space, but returned after refreshments to find illegal parking notices stuck to each vehicle, that we had parked in the 'caravans only' bay. I'm tempted to question what happens with all the other vehicles forced to use these extended bays e.g. for the cars needed to tow the 'caravans only', plus cars and trailers which need that space together with mobile caravans etc. I have read there is a case to ignore these 'invoices' but I would welcome some assurance.
