lol
I did not honestly!
My brother emigrated on Sunday and gave me 2 MASSIVE boxes of store cupboard items. Threw most of it as it was not just out of date, it was older than him! But there are still things in date, but things I never knew existed! Can't believe he has eaten this rubbish ewwwww
Anyway, only thing i'm stumped at what to do with is 16 tins of tesco canned mince beef and onion lol
I'm a veggie but ds 20 months is a meat eater and eats proper meals and is far, far from fussy
These cans contain alot of salt, but i'm not worried as DS has an extremely low salt intake even for his age etc
But is this stuff okay? Sorry if I sound 'snobby' just never even knew it did exist and if it is ok to give to DS what would you do with it?
If I can't work it out, i'll give it to someone for their pets lol

16 tins?!
Yikes - that's a hella-lotta mince.
Used to use it, back in the day, to make a quick pie - roll out a block of pastry, line a pie dish, slop the tin of mince in, top with pastry, bake in the oven. Always used to keep a tin of it by, just in caseOh come on, don't be silly.
It's the internet - it's not real!0 -
M&S do tinned mince beef, they sell loads of it.0

Personally I would give it away to someone with a dog.I have tried canned mince in the past and it tasted awful.Would not want to feed it to any of my children.
Waste not want not is important to me but this is one thing I would waste !0 -
whole lotta chilli/spaghetti bolognese? add enough veg/pasta/rice and it'll bring down the overall salt content anyway. Put some TVP and spread it out further. Is it cheap? (thinks about shopping list).0

I would have thought it would taste ok with enough tomato puree, garlic and chillies. Now I want to try...0

Hmmm, not sure I would give this to any child of mine. I agree with mother noah, find someone with a dog.0

can you find a local foodbank and donate it to them0
-
put some out for local hedgehogs
id try your child with it, maybe mix with plain mash and the salt intake will sort its self out. i dont add salt to kids foods either but remember lack of salt can be just as harmful as too much... apparently lol!!:cool:minds is willing , soul remains, this woman cannot be saved ;););););););):A;);););););););)
