Please help - saved searches

Please help, my laptop seems to save all the searches etc I made, everything I type into google etc. I need to delete these as hubby and kids will see what Christmas presents I am searching for! Is there anyway I can stop my computer from saving searches? Thank you.......

    It depends which browser (and which version) you're using.

    In IE6 you need to go to Internet Options, General, Clear History and - if you have AutoComplete turned on - Content, Autocomplete, Clear Forms. You can disable the History function by setting the number of days to 0.

    Of course these settings will be in completely different places in Firefox, Opera, Epiphany, etc...

    You should really be able to delete one of these entries by just scrolling down to it in the drop down list, using the arrow keys, and then press delete.

    If you open up your History (Ctrl-H), you can delete individual entries.
