TV Recorder ???

hi there.
I have sky tv but only the basic box not the sky+
i do not have a video recorder so i cannot record any movies etc.
I have had a quick look on the net for one of those recorder box thingies and they seem to come with freeview. i have all the channels on sky so i would be paying for a recorder box with freeview on it.
can someone advise what i need to record items on tv. maybe that all come with freeview??
any advise and a cheapish (up to 50 quid) recorders please

I bought a sky+ box on ebay (£60), complete with card, then sold the card (£23) and my old box seperately (£35), cost me £2 overall to upgrade from pace sky box to 160gb thompson sky+ (I already had quad LNB)
only problem I have is the + box has a noisy fan
