cheap days out in London on Virgin Trains
We have tried to book cheap day return travel to London from manchester but found that we could only book the £9 ticket if we had a WAP phone on their new Mobitix booking. Being pensioners we don't have this tyoe of mobile phone and on contacting virigin found there was no other way. while I appreciate this is technology moving forward i feel that people without this type of phone are being discriminated against. so no seeing the Christmas lights in London for us!

Discrimination of this kind is perfectly legal, alas.
Why not get yourselves a WAP phone for Christmas?
Slightly off topic, but related - there is at least one London Borough where you can't park (in a paying area) unless you have a mobile phone and a credit or debit card.0
