    Hi All
I dont know if anyone esle has heard anything but a friend who works in boots has just told me that they have been told that their jobs are not safe and might possibly be out of a job before Xmas, and that Boots could be the next big company in trouble, I am really hoping this is not true.
    Claire

I can see them cutting jobs, as most firms are.

But as for being in trouble - they are one of the companies that have enquired about buying some of the Woolies stores. I can't see them doing that if they are in trouble.

Mind you, some of the directors of big firms do seem a bit on the stupid side lately.

Hi everybody-I haven't posted here for at least 2 months now but I'm back.
Tried to wean myself off spending ridiculous amounts in boots but it didn't actually work-also had a few probs with internet connection & had few things going on in life so didn't even have time.ANyway just thought I would add that the points offer is working again on the girard giftsets which are halfprice.

Hello folks, just back from my trip to Boots. Tried using the haircare bluey with my JF Elite £1.50 vouchers and the SA wasn't having any of it and starting quoting the not to be used in conjunction with any other offer, what a meany!!!!:(

On a brighter note, I managed to get using the bluey a James Brown Reviving Dry shampoo priced at £1.99 for free. It wasn't with the other James Brown stuff but on an end of an aisle in a special stand. The till wouldn't take it but a nicer SA than the previous one over rode the till. It is a small 50ml spray so maybe it is classed as a mini which is why the till wouldn't accept the bluey??On the stand it didn't say it was a mini so I assumed it wasn't!;)
  • If you hadnt recieved your card would you have had an advantage card number to enter online to get the points? If you did and theyve signed you up again wouldnt it be a diffrent number so wouldnt get your points added? Would hate for you not to get your points.

Thanks for concern, CS advisor gave me the number of the new card when I rang up, I entered this online then did my shops, so it is this number that the points are associated to.
Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:

    So is this right 3 X £17.13 set = £51.39
Less half price offer - £25.70
Total = £25.69 plus £15 of bonus points = end cost £10.69 for all 3

    Hi Paula

The Eight Hour gift set was limited so they may have sold out, I checked Debenhams recently and they had sols out. I got one from the House of Fraser. If you really want one I think it's a case of trawling round now. Lovely set by the way.
