well, i've just been looking through my purse and unexpectedly found a double points coupon and also a 450 free points when you spend £50 coupon, so i have decided not to order the Girard perfume and instead i'm going to get my extra points on Friday with the 3 purchases of the new OOTW :-)
don't forget the acm 500 points wys £45!
  • Dilemma.... I am hoping to get 3 x OOTW when it comes into play on Friday. As the order will be over £45 I could do it online & get free delivery & 1 x GWP. My gripe with ordering online is that my last 2 orders have arrived in such a bad state & so awfully packed that I don;t want to risk them getting damaged as they're for presents.
I;m going late night shopping tomorrow so kinda hoping that they'll be available tomorrow though!
What do you lovely ladies think about ordering them from .com? Do I? DOn't I?!! xx
  • With this new OOTW @ £25, It might it be possible to get both a mens and womens GWP at the same time. :)

My thinking is that if the NO7 set was £50 and the spend threshold for the GWP is £18, that hopefully the till will see the higher price as it has done with previous items and let everyone have more than one GWP.
This may also depend on how friendly/ helpful the SA at time of purchase is though. But putting through one or two smaller items at the same time may mean that the extra GWP for free is less obvious.:)

As for the JK nail files, you could always ask a friendly SA to scan them and check if they do indeed have the 750 extra points offer in store now.

I asked an SA to do that with the Girard Fragrance sets, but sadly... the computer said no.:(

This new OOTW sounds great, can't wait, however I looked in Boots in Norwich today and they only had 2 on the shelf, so if it's true then I hope they get some more in stock!
  • BOXING DAY SALE

Could someone please kindly explain to me how the sale "happens"? Is there

    (a) A frenzied rush at 5pm on Christmas Eve for all 3 for 2s to be relabelled by the staff (who are busy thinking about their turkeys) as half price?

    (b) The prices stay the same on the shelf but there are huge posters saying something like "Roll up! Half price sale on all green labelled items!" and these are put up on Boxing Day, before the store opens?

    (c) Everyone comes in on Christmas Day to relabel?

    (d) Nothing's relabelled and the till miraculously works it out?

    (e) None of the above - Santa and his Elves do everything?

    (f) Nothing happens.

    (g) Something else happens.

    Thank you.

Anyone? I would love to know the answer! :D

Does anyone know whether the 250 points vouchers that are in the no 7 gwp can be used on the ootw this friday or do they not count on gift sets?

    BOXING DAY SALE

Anyone? I would love to know the answer! :D

My experience is that SA are not organised, but its not their fault. In my local last year they were still putting sale items out 2 hours after the store opened. None of the perfume gift sets were priced, so I had to take each one to be scanned to find out what they cost. Some of them were 50% off, but others were only 10% off while others were full price. So it was pot luck. The longer I was willing to stay in the store, the more reduced lines were introduced in the perfume range.

All the 3 4 2 (Green parcel sticker) gifts were all in their own section with 50% off banners, so you just worked out the price yourself. I felt really sorry for the SA's as they were run ragged, and must have been fed up with everyone asking how much is this every few minutes. This was in a big store, so maybe the smaller ones are more organised.

I would imagine it varies from store to store though. Anyone ever had a very organised sale??

Well i'm still a Bootsing Novice but i've just managed to rack up 3154 pts on .com:j

Total full cost of 20 items = £89.82

Total paid after discounts = £51.39

    Total points received = 3154

Therefore Total spend (in Boots logic) = £19.72 for 20 items..less than a quid per unit...cheaper than the Pound Shops:D

I'd like to say a big Thankyou for all the tips, advice & humour you constantly pour out on this Board...i don't know how many times i've nearly choked on my coffee this week:rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:

girard pefumes also back on half price with 1500 points :D:D

Managed to get some this time. Spent £50, saving £89, and got £25 of points back :D

When you buy the OOTW on 3 for 2, do you still get the full offer if you pay with points?

I was buying something in Boots last week and they said i couldnt have the GWP as i was not using cash.
