I used to work for Boots , it was about 5 years ago but they always did their merchandising on a Tuesday evening so there could still possibly be a sale starting tomorrow. :T:T:T

    Heeheh let's hope so!!!!!!!

It looks like wishful thinking. I went instore today and spoke to someone i know and she said there was no mention of a sale at their staff meeting this morning and no staffing has been arranged to work late to do the advertising.

I can't stand the suspense! The ludicrous part about this is that I have gifts galore for unexpected guests, of either sex, toys, birthday presents until April for friends, numerous boxes of chocs, as yet unopened, in my cupboard ..... and I don't need anything at all from Boots!

But I've found my stomach churning at the possibility of the sale starting - :j :j and I'm not there!!!

Still can't get over me thinking it was pollsdolls draped across her Boots counter in her basque!!!!

I had the same problem, so took back quite a few gifts, then asked the SA if I could exchange them and let my DS choose xmas gifts to give to people, the kind SA said it was a nice idea, so problem solved.

But.......what if there is a massive sale soon.....what a dilema.
I often wonder if we Bootsters are not alone in our obsession...maybe there are some crazy Tesco-ers, Nectar point collectors, Avon-ers!!!
Oh my gosh though.....it might be just us mad Bootsters! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

( part of me still wants the FCUK deal of the week, even though I have the Elizabeth Arden bag that is similar...I need saving:) )

Hi peeps the OP of the sale post over on HUKD just posted this:

hey sorry I was out last night. The sale was due to start on Wednesday but it has been put back to a later date, all display materials were dated to go out on the 17th with phase 2 to go out on boxing day. I have since been informed by my source in a Liverpool store that this has now been put back.

I'm really disappointed even though i had nothing left to buy lol x

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Well, just 'spent' the last of my boots vouchers (from various surveys I've been doing all year!), so no more bootsing for me now, until the sales, when it will be points only.
    got 2084 points on a £52 spend :j
got the tweezers, I think my DD's hide all ours, so these are pink and they are mine!
got the JF serum handbag size (just 'cos it's free, and I can't bear to see a voucher go to waste)
Boots Vit E range is BOGOF so 2 basic skincare items for 77-97p
    Plax colgate mouthwash is BOGOF
    Radox shower gels (even the elements @ £1.95) is 2 4 £2
noticed that on my receipt I didn't qualify for a bluey2 because I only handed over £2 in actual cash. So it seems gift vouchers don't count towards qualifying spends (but do for points purposes )
Mimi, if you are still around (and anyone else with knotty hair) boots now do the Tangle Teezer hairbrush (the one from Dragon's Den) in larger stores (not on .com) for £9.99, will report back on if it is any good when DD gets home!

I now have 3 tweezers and a sharpner and no need for me. Perhaps I'll have to spend a little money and get a new lippy!

I am interested how you get on with the tangle teezer! Have tried lots of conditioners and masks JF, TS etc and hair is till a mess. I had perfectly straight hair until irst DS was born and now even frizzier since second DS born in August! If I can't tame it with 'product' (as they say at the hairdressers) I'll give the Teezer a go!
  • Is there any good deals on .com to boost my points balance... I'm not that bothered what the items are... I just need lotsa points (Better if not much money spent) for the salessss!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance hunnies :D xxx
