Hi, my Pacific Freeview box from ASDA (1 year old-ish) has had a couple of turns where it froze (would not turn on, off or do anything). This was solved by unplugging all leads inc power and re-connecting.
It has now taken a real huff!!
It will power up, the screen message is no signal and if you try to move channel it goes directly to Channel 30 and locks there. Signal should be fine as no leads had been moved and the arial is new. (I've tested with another box and it's fine on this set up).
Is it for the bin or can it be resurrected?

Apparently, if you lose one sense, others senses are enhanced. That's why those who have no sense of humour have an enlarged sense of self-importance.

what you describe is terminal, to have it properly repaired will cost you to much. dump it and buy another.remember you get what you pay for cheap means cheap"Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0

Just to protect my integrity I'm posting to let you know that both remote and manual attempts to power up/down and to change channel gave identical resultsApparently, if you lose one sense, others senses are enhanced.
