Hi
Does anyone know if I have more than one email address for diff members of the family say:
A@blueyonder.co.uk
B@blueyonder.co.uk
c@blueyonder.co.uk
(These are not my real email addresses!)
How do I get outlook to send a message from A or B or C. At the moment all messages go via A and I dont get the option to change it. With Outlook Express it i much simpler and i just click the relevant account from each message.
How do I do it with outlook 2003?
Thanks

Not 100% sure with outlook in that way - I use it through MS Exchange, but can't you add a from field when typing new messages and enter it in there?0

Are these addresses set up on the same account (ie as aliases) or are they on separate blueyonder accounts - you can have five separate accounts on blueyonder each with three aliases.
If it is the latter then setting up different profiles is the way to go. As each person has their own profile (ie person A, B and C) and all mail will be kept separate. This is also the way that I would do it as parents can use account A, and children accounts B and C. These can also be password protected to avoid children seeing parents email etc.
The problem with aliases is that all the email comes into the same inbox.
If you need help with profiles let me know and/or setting up other mailboxes on blueyonder.
Edited : using the From button on Outlook for Blueyonder does not appear to work correctly I have tried this in the past and it says sent from Mrs X on behalf of Mr X0 -

When you open up the box to send new mail, there is a drop down box with the word Accounts next to it. If you drop it down, all the accounts are there and you can select which account you want to send from.0 -
One thing that you can do is to have a different Outlook Profile for each account.
Configure them in Control Panel -> Mail. Select Show Profiles then Add.
When you've done this, Outlook will ask you to select a profile when you start it up.0 -

I don't have this on my version of Outlook. I can only see this when I go into Blueyonder webmail0 -

The OP states Outlook 2003 which is what I am using. I use the previous version of Outlook at work and it is the same. I don't know whether it being blueyonder will make a difference, I have never used it but I can't see why it would. I am however running six e-mail accounts from three different domains on my Outlook and I can send from any particular one of them at any time.0 -

I have my Blueyonder account (with three alias's) and another setup under the same profile on Outlook 2003. I can send from both accounts but the Blueyonder one just goes with my main user name and does not left me pick one of the other alias's. To send from the alias's I use the webmail part of Blueyonder.0 -
I think that you only get the Accounts option if you have configured more than one e-mail account in your Outlook profile.
To do this, on the main Outlook screen, select Tools, E-mail Accounts then use the wizard to Add a new e-mail account0 -

Is it possible to switch between profiles without closong and restarting Outlook?0 -

Not that I am aware of - you could have all your mail come into one inbox from two providers (me I have my own domain name and my blueyonder one) and have a rule sending my own domain name stuff to another pst file. That way when doing send/receive it automatically populates the inbox and you can send from both accounts0
