Hi everyone I'm definitely up for this, I have been on the Crafty for Xmas and Finished Baskets threads too, plus the lovely Sock Monkeys. I already belong to most of the cashback sites and do the daily clicks, plus Slice the Pie every now and then. I read the organised thread but didnt really join in but it did help me get organised and I have just about got Christmas sorted for this year so thanks to everyone on all the threads for your help and ideas.0

YAY Rainmac!!!!
I have re-done my signature now. WOop Woop!!
Welcome to everyone it is lovely to see you all here and now we all have a place to join together until next christmas when we start making hampers and crazy things again
Quidco is REALLY easy but looks really scary.
1. Always make sure you are logged in. Don't forget, if you delete your cookies it will log you out. If you delete your cookies whilst shopping.. it will NOT track.
2. On the left hand side you will see a search box. Just type your merchant in there and press enter. If they are on Quidco it will come up.
3. Click on the merchant name.. Scroll Down and it says something like "to visit this merchant click here".. This opens a webpage at the store. As long as you order on this webpage and do not clear cookies whilst there, it will track on quidco.
HOW?
The link Quidco opens is a referral link. Because Quidco referred you there and you made a purchase, the shop pays Quidco money. Quidco give you this money and only ask you pay a five pounds fee once a year to cover admin costs.
You can see if your earnings have tracked in the "my earnings" tab. I give it a few days to show up and a few months to pay up.
Tracked - Quidco aknowledge you shopped and your transaction has been tracked.
Validated - The merchant has seen your quidco and agreed to pay it.
Received - Quidco have no received the money and it is ready to be paid to you on the next due date.
Declined - the vendor refused to pay.
Some transactions track at 0 because the merchant likes to check the transaction then set the amount once it has gone through ok.
I hope this helps you all. So far I have had 400 pounds from Quidco in two years.:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -

I have come to join you all. Never tried the money nuetral but will give it a go, might not be 100% but every little helps.
Slowly but surely getting there with being organised for christmas, have all the presents bought, it is now a case of keeping on top of house work.0 -
Hi, I too am possibly going to be made redundent in the new year and love the idea of money neutral. I love crafts, but am not nearly as good as most people on the crafty for christmas thread, which I lurk on and have made a lot of gifts this year. I really hope this thread helps me for next year! I really must get round to ebaying a big bag iv had put aside for a YEAR!

I've never been money neutral either, its gunna be tough, but i got my OH to join in as he's going into the army to do basic training next june (and then the year after, he gets a house where he's based), so we need to save money for basic home ware and christmas:D We're planning to go very money neutral buy joining quidco and i've signed up for a few other cashback sites, so this year coming should be a good one!!:j
But i will stop rambling, because we still haven't finished this one! And i'm not nearly as organised as i should be!!:rotfl:

I'm neutral for Christmas and birthdays 2008, almost all the way organised for Christmas 2008, have the first three birthdays of 2009 sorted and will now be devoting my time to planning the Most Speedily Organised Wedding Ever. We're aiming for the end of February, and so far all we're doing is wrestling with paperwork for when both parties are not resident in the UK and one party is not even a citizen. The current fear is that they won't let him into the UK in December at all, which is the only time we have to present ourselves at the registrar and give notice of our intention to marry. Hi all, I'd like to join is as well, almost organised for christmas so my mind is now wandering to 2009, & would love to do it in a money neutral fashion. I have a loft full of stuff I want to put on ebay, even things my brother asked me to put on when I've got time & share the profits 50/50. I'm also signed up to quite a few survey sites, but have got a bit fed up of them so hopefully this will give me the push to get going again.
Coming on this thread also reminded me to go chase quidco & pigsback up for cashback on a few spends, woohooo, all in order & £75 on its way to meThats what I need to get my son the new dr who 5" toys out this month & take him out for a meal for his b'day (Jan 3rd, I always thank him for having the sense to hold on for the sales, he was due christmas eve) & pic something up in the boots sale for my sil's b'day (2nd Jan).
You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0
